Dafni is an experienced Project Manager with a demonstrated history of working in developing contexts. She has significant experience in non-profit organizations, such us the International Rescue Committee (IRC) as well as organizations of the United Nations, such as the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM). She held field coordination positions that required professionalism and at the same time the ability to serve in the best interest of beneficiaries such as refugee populations, unaccompanied children and indigenous peoples and tribes. She then moved on to a more policy making position, to the European Union Agency for Asylum (EUAA), where she was seconded to the Ministry of Migration and Asylum, at the cabinet of the Deputy Minister, responsible for the Human Trafficking portfolio. In the meantime, the developments related to climate change caught her attention and she pursued a research related position in a private company but soon returned to the humanitarian context, always mostly interested in child protection related projects.
She holds a Master’s degree focused in Development Economics and International Development from Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan. In addition, she has recently upgraded her academic experience with education in Life Coaching, accredited by the Association for Coaching.
She is passionate about Photography and had two exhibitions over the years, one as a Women’s Empowerment campaign and the other related to southeast Asian culture.
